It's A Girl!!

Man oh man!!

This week was a whirlwind of commotion!!

Monday we went bowling with our district (as you saw last week) and I bought a rain jacket!! Yay!!

Tuesday we went and built a crib for this cute family who is having a lot of medical problems. It was actually kind of funny because we were on our way over there when we got a text from the mom and she was like "I'm not going to be home, but my husband will be there to meet you!" And we were like "NO!! We have to have a woman with us!!" So we're calling all the woman in our area to see if the can come and literally no one was answering their phones! So we run over to this ladies house who is super not interested in the church but thinks we're great, haha! So we go and ask her if she will come with us and she was having a super rough day, but she came with us anyways! It ended up being a really good experience for everyone and she went back the next day to help out some more!!

Wednesday we had some really good lessons and stuff in the morning and then we had exchanges! So Sister Macbeth went up to Montpelier for the day and Sister Rogers came down to SoRo. It was really fun, and all of our evening lessons fell through, so we went finding in SoRo. It was really funny because we are walking down the street and this guy comes out of his apartment and obviously isn't interested. So he's kind of running away from us and Sister Rogers is like chasing him down the street like, "Hey! We share a message about God!! Do you want to learn about God?" and he's like, "No" and then she goes, "Well do you know anyone else who wants  to learn about God??" and he's like, "Not even a little bit." Haha!! I felt so awkward that I turned down this dark peopless street so that we didn't keep following him haha! But then as we're walking down we run into this lady named Karen who hasn't been to church since like 2007, and she just moved here from Rutland. It was so cool and so we walked her to her apartment then walked back into town met a few more cool people and then we were rushing to get home on time when this guy yells from across the street, "Hey! Are you the Mormons?" (which we are not haha, but we let it slide this one time) And we were like,"Yeah we are! Do you know any Mormons?" And he was like,"nope." Then Sister Rogers goes, "well now you do!!" And we talked to him for a bit and he was like,"Yeah I'd totally like to learn more!" So we're going to go visit him sometime haha! It was awesome!!

Thursday we had a super good lesson with that family we built the crib for and they all got priesthood blessings! It was really cool! We did this mini conference after the priesthood blessings and so they were able to watch a talk by President Nelson from last conference. We sang a hymn and said a prayer and it was just super cool!!

Friday we had dinner with this cool guy named Jonathan to celebrate his BIRTHDAY!! It was so much fun!! We stuffed his one slice of cake with a ton of candles and we did another mini conference.

Saturday was just amazing!! Conference was just fantastic! We had one guy named Nathan come for the first session and he really enjoyed it and we also had a guy named Terry come! Terry was way cool, because he was coming to church for awhile and then got offended and decided he would never ever go back to the church building ever again. So then he called us and was like, "I'm coming this Sunday because It's your (Sister Macbeth's) last Sunday. But besides that I'm never coming again" And we were like, "we'll take it!!" haha! So he came for all three sessions on Saturday haha because his ride was staying for the women's session  Haha! Anyways, it was just a really good day.

Sunday we did conference again and that was just as wonderful! I think this was the first year I have ever stayed awake for all 5 sessions! We had the cute family come for a bit on Sunday as well as another guy named Jacob and it was just super fun and super good!!

Monday was just a regular old day except that in the evening we had about an hour of finding time and so we go out and no one is out. It was almost like a ghost town! So we're trying to figure out who we were going to see and this guy we hadn't noticed before is backing his car out of the spot next to ours so I was about to jump out of the car and give him a Book of Mormon but then he pulled out and pulled into a spot farther down the road! So we jump out of the car and run down the street to go talk to him and he invites us to come have dinner with him!!! So we went and talked with him and gave him a Book of Mormon! He came up to the Joseph Smith Memorial today and it was just way cool!!

Today we went on a hike up to Kent's ledge and it was just tons of fun!! Oh also we got transfer calls today and Sister Macbeth is going up to Farmington Maine to be a sister training leader and I am staying here in SoRo to TRAIN A NEW MISSIONARY!!! It's kind of Overwhelming, but I know it will be good!! (Haha, the title of my email is because I'm going to train and so I'll be a missionary "mom" Haha!!)

I want to challenge you all to do President Nelson's Book of Mormon Challenge!! I've been doing it and it is so cool!! I know it will bring tons of blessings and foster a love for Jesus Christ as well as the Book of Mormon!!!

I love you all so much!! Hope you all have a fantastic week!!!
